Earth / Air / Water / Fire
Four-Way Ambigram

Earth / Air / Water / Fire

Earth / Air / Water / Fire: This ambigram is made of repeating units or tiles, each of which can be viewed in four different ways to read four different words. This is much more complicated than the typical two-way ambigram. This design uses several symmetries: foreground/background, rotation (turn it upside down), tiling, and color change. It is not as pretty and readable as other ambigrams, but most ambigrams cannot be viewed in as many different ways.

Kevin Pease has a much nicer four-way ambigram of Earth/Air/Water/Fire. It's the best four-way ambigram I've ever seen.
John Langdon has a nice two-way (not four-way) ambigram of Earth/Air/Water/Fire.
