Ambigrams
An ambigram, also called an inversion, is a design in which you can see different words or pictures, or the same word or picture in different ways, depending on how you look at it. I created all the ambigrams on these pages, except where credited otherwise.

Welcome / Come again
Here are two "Welcome" / "Come again" ambigrams.
Rotated ambigram. The word "Welcome" becomes "Come again" when turned upside down (rotated 180°). This could be printed on a welcome mat for a front door. People arriving see "Welcome" and people departing see "Come again".
Reflected ambigram. The word "Welcome" becomes "Come again" when viewed from behind (mirror reflected). This could be printed on a glass door or a clear plastic sign. People arriving see "Welcome" and people departing see "Come again".
Up / Down

Note: I discovered the up/down ambigram on my father's architectural drawings. In plan view, the stairs had an arrow labeled "up" that I misread as "dn".
Name Ambigrams
You can make ambigrams of the names of your family and friends. Here are some name ambigrams that I made for my family.
Four-way Ambigrams!
Here are some Four-way Ambigrams made by me (and links to some others). Four-way ambigrams are more challenging than regular two-way ambigrams.
